Studio Ethos

Coherence is a Melbourne-based mental health studio grounded in clinical psychology and integrated with evidence-based complementary specialties.

Our ethos is shaped by body-mind monism: the understanding that body and mind are not separate systems, but deeply interconnected expressions of a living whole.

Clinical psychology offers a safe space to understand our patterns and develop new ways of relating, responding, and making meaning — supporting a deeper sense of coherence across the whole self.

Founder of Coherence

Hi, I’m Dr Bek.

Rebekah Davenport

My name is Rebekah Davenport, I am an AHPRA registered psychologist specialising in parts-based and trauma-informed therapies.
I completed my post-graduate clinical and research training at The University of Melbourne.
My approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins in the presence of safety. From that foundation, and with the guidance of a compassionate, non-judgmental therapist, we can begin to turn toward ourselves, including the parts of us we have learned to hide, to silence, and the parts that have long been working, in their own way, to keep us safe.
At your pace, we explore how life experiences shape your inner world, the tensions your body carries, and the ways you relate to yourself and others.
I offer individual and relationship therapy for adults (18+).

Dr Bek, and a small team of fellow clinical psychologists, offer specialist organisational consultancy to leaders and teams.

Through interactive group sessions, they deliver evidence-informed education across a range of workplace topics — including wellbeing, burnout prevention and management, stress management, cognitive skills, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.

Tailored, individual session packages are also available for team leaders, founders, and CEOs seeking to strengthen interpersonal communication and leadership effectiveness.

Sessions are available in-person or via telehealth. In-person is preferred for initial consultations as sharing the same physical space allows your clinician to better attune to your pace and nervous system, while supporting the early development of connection and co-regulation.

You do not need a referral to enquire about, or book, a clinical psychology appointment.

A referral is only required if you would like to access Medicare rebates. With a current Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual and 10 group therapy sessions per calendar year. Medicare rebates do not apply to relationship therapy sessions.

If you are paying privately or claiming through private health insurance, no referral is required. Please note that Medicare and private health insurance rebates generally cannot be claimed for the same session.

Coherence aims to improve equitable access to services for all individuals. Therefore, we do not apply after-hours fees, helping to reduce financial barriers and ensure that more individuals can access the support they need, regardless of the time services are provided.
